The company said its third quarter results were adversely impacted by a delay in 'a very large opportunity' at one of the two largest service providers in North America, reportedly AT&T (NYSE:T). The opportunity will now close in the fourth quarter, leaving the company's full year outlook unchanged.
But for the third quarter, Acme Packet is now looking for total revenues of $70 million, and earnings per share of $0.20 to $0.22.
Full results will be released after the close of trading on October 20.
Acme competes with larger networking companies like Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) and Juniper (NYSE:JNPR).
