Wednesday's ETF Movers: XOP, AXSL

In trading on Wednesday, the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (AMEX:XOP) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 5.4% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Petroleum Development (NASDAQ:PETD), up about 22.5% and shares of Clean Energy Fuels (NASDAQ:CLNE), up about 13% on the day.

And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares MSCI ACWI ex US Consumer Staples Sector Index Fund ETF (AMEX:AXSL), down about 2.2% in Wednesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Wednesday were shares of Compania Cervecerias Unidas S A (NYSE:CCU), relatively unchanged, and shares of Companhia DE Bebidas Das Ame (NYSE:ABV), up by about 0.8% on the day.
