Wednesday Sector Laggards: Water Utilities, Cigarettes & Tobacco Stocks

In trading on Wednesday, water utilities shares were relative laggards, up on the day by about 0.2%. Helping drag down the group were shares of American Water Wks (NYSE:AWK), down about 1% and shares of Consolidated Water (NASDAQ:CWCO) down about 0.7% on the day.

Also lagging the market Wednesday are cigarettes & tobacco shares, up on the day by about 0.3% as a group, led down by British American Tobacco Plc Adr (AMEX:BTI), trading lower by about 1.1% and Universal VA (NYSE:UVV), trading lower by about 0.4%.
